Epicor has a clear leadership position because they have the only built-from-the-ground-up, service-oriented architecture (SOA) application. Problem is, with all of the competitive noise in the marketplace, differentiation is that much more difficult.

To educate midsized manufacturers about the benefits of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Epicor and 949 worked closely together to develop a website that would lie outside of the corporate web presence to promote Vantage 8 in a much more aggressive manner than could be possible under the corporate umbrella. Additionally, this strategy allows for Epicor to be much more aggressive in their marketing efforts and drive potential customers to a neutral ground.

After the microsite was built, awareness and traffic building efforts began with targeted print and banner advertising, direct mail, broadcast e-mail and trade show support. However, 949 has taken an aggressive approach and fully optimized the Vantage 8 site for search engine dominance - extending the presence of Epicor through the microsite by creating an incredible link-back referral engine.
